If you told me...

...three years ago that I would be living in an 1870s country home and be sitting on a riding mower Saturday mornings, well....
No, you aren't hallucinating. What you see here is a picture of my newest toy. A John Deere 115 Lawn tractor. I just can't stop laughing to myself - I own a freakin lawn tractor. It's crazy.

So nancy and I have started moving more and more things into the house and it looks like it is taking shape and beginning to feel like home. We won't be living there for a few weeks yet, but this week the house gets a new circuit breaker and an increase in service from 100 to 200 Amps (it would be nice to run a taster and a microwave without causing a circuit break). Tonight, Tom Sloughter, "the shit job man" is going to come by and haul some carpets and junk away. He'll also be taking a look at this self-built montrosity that they built to cover a concrete patio next to the garage. At one time nice, at this time, a wart. it is coming down. I think the floor guy is coming by too. He'll tell us what we can or can't do with the veneers that were under the carpeting. Wish us luck!

I have to get me one of those green bad boys. You should have lawn mower races with your neighbors. I don't think 200 Amps are enough juice to run your HDTV, XBox360, Mac, Spy Satellites, Disco ball, fondue pot, and your favorite nose hair clippers all at the same time. You need MEGAWATTAGE!!! POWER! POWER!! POWER!!!

oh, and cool about your home shaping up.
